Our granddaughters are 9 and 7 and love American Girl Dolls. So for Christmas Grandpa decided to make them the triple bunk beds they saw in the catalogue. Of course grandma had to make the mattresses, sheets, pillows, bedding, etc.
We also made little name tags for each bed that have extra slates to rewrite.

There are even little do-dad holders to hang off the side of each bed.

I think DH really did a marvelous job with his woodworking and the girls were absolutely delighted.
Good job dear…….you’re the best !!! Love, Avery

bravo très bon travail
félicitations à William aussi

What a talented pair you are and what lucky grandaughters. These are delightful
Hi AveryClaire,
What a wonderful idea; I wonder if you would be willing to share the pattern? Our grand daughter has three dolls of her own, it would be lovely if they each had a place to sleep. The bedding you made is very nice as well. Thank you for sharing!

Very cute!
What a great present and what great memories you’ll all have. I still have my dolly bunkbeds (only two) out in the garage–I loved them so I’ve never been able to part with them. I still have my doll, too. (she lives in the house)
The bunk beds are gorgeous and you did a great job with the bedding.
What a great project. If your granddaughters play with their American Girl dolls as much as my daughter did I bet they will get a lot of use. Lucky girls to have such talented grandparents. Hope all is well with you.
When I grow up I want to be a kid again! The beds and bedding are both wonderful.

so fun! I hope to get to do that some day. go to mod kid boutique (you can find it on my side bar) for a brand new pattern for this size doll. it’s so cute!
My DD has the Samantha doll and now mattel has retired her, but DD never did play with her or any other dolls, she just collected them.
