New Quilt for Titouan

Maggy…my soul sister in France…has a new grandson, Titouan. I had to make something special for him. A bit of fun and a bit of the United States. So I found a fabric with lots of English words on it.

They are phrases which we hear a lot, but perhaps not so common France…but then again…maybe they are common. Can anyone of my French friends tell me if you use these phrases also? I love to learn new things. There are phrases like: See You Later Alligator or Quiet As a Mouse or A Little Bird Told Me…

Reappearing Rabbit or Monkey See Monkey Do or Leaping Leopard

Or Can A Zebra Can His Stripes?

Or Busy As A Bee

His Mom (who loved the quilt) sent me this super photo. Little Titouan doesn’t seem to care…he just loves being the center of attention. Isn’t he the most beautiful baby you have ever seen???

I try to answer your questions. As for the ones you wrote, I do not think we have the equivalent in French with this animals, except, perhaps for the busy bee, but the French saying for it does not come to mind mind right now.
But, of course, we have lots of sayings with the animals, we would be able to illustrate in quilt blocks with appliqued technics…Another things to do to empty the scrap big box…

I am just as terrified as you when my eyes come across spiders. Recently I decided not to go anymore in the garden: they are showing off everywhere. As far as they stay outside, and I stay inside, it is OK, but…
Oh, don’t laugh but I just quit my chair to close the sink oulet..I do that every night in the two bathroom as well…Didier laughs at me!

You are just a few days (10 oct) younger than me! I am happy you had a lovely birthday.
